JANUARY 18 * A ROCKING PUPPET SLAMWICH!

Black Cherry Puppet Theater glows bright in the dark winter night with a rocking new puppet slam full of amazing performers from New York to DC!  CARLA RHODES,  the world's foremost (and only) rock'n'roll ventriloquist performs with the 'notable star of stage and screen' CECIL SINCLAIR. Don't miss this rare Charm City performance! Carla was mentored by the legendary Shari Lewis (that's right, Lamchop's Mama), nominated for an Andy Kaufmann award and has appeared on MTV's Weird Vibes!  The prolific and award-winning DONNA OBLONGATA, theater artist and writer, Wham City collective member, and co-founder of Missoula Oblongata, returns to Baltimore to perform "A Day at the Beach." One of Baltimore's most inventive and energetic creature makers, KEVIN SHERRY brings Brain Bear (and perhaps some Yetis) back to the Puppet Slam stage. Prepare for giant papier-mâché heads, beaucoup fun fur and killer pop tunes. "Retire for the Evening", a short film featuring Carla and Cecil, made by EDDIE HELLMAN will be screened as well.  For just $7 bucks, folks, you get all that plus DC's DAVID GREENFIELDBOYCE & SANDY ASIRVATHAM and  a premier performance by Copycat Theater cofounder PERSON ABLACH The popcorn machine will be churning, and musical guest THE WORLD FAIR will keep your toes tapping.

Come on down to the coziest little puppet theater in town and show your love to these puppeteers!

Saturday, January 18 with shows at 7 and 9:30! Tickets available at Brown Paper Tickets.
